The Upstate Pastors Network is a community of pastors who gather for fellowship and equipping. Sponsored by Clamp Divinity School of Anderson University, the Network hosts events to help pastors grow and connect.
Tony Merida is the founding pastor of Imago Dei Church in Raleigh, N.C. He also serves as Associate Professor of Preaching at Southeastern Baptist Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. His books include Faithful Preaching, Orphanology, Ordinary: How to Turn the World Upside Down, Proclaiming Jesus, Eight volumes in the new Christ-Centered Exposition commentary series (B&H), of which he also serves as a general editor, along with Danny Akin and David Platt. He is happily married to Kimberly; and they have five adopted children.

Phillip Pointer serves as Senior Pastor of Saint Mark Baptist Church. Pastor P, as he’s affectionately known, joined the Saint Mark family in 2012. Pastor Pointer earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. He earned a Master of Divinity with honors from The Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia. Pastor Pointer has served in ministry for more than 25 years.
