First Presbyterian is looking for a dynamic, highly relational, and passionate Youth Director to join our

What you’ll be doing: 
 Developing and leading weekly programs for middle and high school students
 Planning, coordinating, and overseeing special student events such as annual retreats,
conferences, trips, small groups, and service projects
 Fostering and maintaining relationships to equip youth, as well as their families
 Creating a compelling culture and environment that draws in middle and high school students in
our community
 Helping students and adult leaders discover their gifts and connecting them to service
opportunities within the church or in the community
 Creating a safe and nurturing environment where young people can learn, grow, and develop
 Providing guidance and mentorship to youth to help them to reach their individual goals as you
train them to develop their faith and learn about themselves.

First Presbyterian Church of Greenwood SC is a congregation of 300 located in a rural community setting in the South Carolina Upstate Region.  The church community leaders strive to attract, welcome, and nurture individuals and families who are seeking God and to help them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.  The town of Greenwood offers a great climate, affordable cost of living, not to mention close proximity to lakes, shopping and entertainment, annual festivals, golf courses, parks and more. Job Type: Full-time and part time opportunities are being explored
Pay: Part time- $25,000- $30,000 or Full time: $38,000-$45,000
Benefits: benefits differ between full and part time hires.
Both positions: paid twice monthly; flexible schedule; paid time off according to the personnel      manual; professional expenses covered (mileage supplies, etc.); professional development assistance.

*Note: full time employees receive individual health insurance. Part time employees do not get full

Schedule: Flexible work week, Wednesday nights and Weekend availability is required

Ability to commute/relocate: Greenwood, SC 29646: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before
starting work (Required)

Education: High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience: Working with youth: 1 year (Preferred)
